About the Data
Where prices come from
Prices are collected from retailer APIs and product pages (Amazon, Best Buy and other retailers). Each retailer listing is checked at least once every 24 hours and every check is stored, which is what powers the price history charts and the Sizzle Score.
Conditions are never mixed
Listings are normalized into New, Manufacturer Recertified, Seller Refurbished, Open Box and Used. Price comparisons, Sizzle Scores and $/TB rankings only compare listings within the same condition.
Stale and missing prices
If a retailer price cannot be retrieved for 48 hours the listing is marked stale and its price is hidden. After 7 days without a price the listing is removed from the site until the price returns.
